  1. The first time I saw Palau from the air there was an optical illusion of a boat suspended thirty feet above the water's surface. It took my brain a few seconds to figure it out. The boat was on the water but the water was so clear that the turqoise bottom thirty feet below looked like the surface of water. That was 28 years ago diving with Sam's Tours. The memory of a life time.

  2. My dad was in the first Marine division and fought on that island, I have pictures he took of bloody nose ridge ,and a block house that he took out with his fellow Marines. Brutal fighting !!!
