  1. This is an inspiring documentary .
Apparently it leaves no doubt that erstwhile Soviet union fought far more on the eastern front than the British and US combined.

Yet fact remains in most part of world it is only the British and US who are credited as champions from the so called WWII.
This makes me wonder that did the Soviet union really won inspite of all the efforts .

  2. I was stationed at Ft Huachuca, Az when all the documents from Ft Holabird Maryland was transferred to Ft Huachuca after Ft Holabird closed. A large amount of these documents ended up at my office, G2 Counterintelligence. I would sit at my desk perusing each document. I remember seeing numerous documents about Hitler, photos, signature, awards, the flag that flew over the headquarters of the 3rd Reich. I remember looking at Heinrich Himmlers personal photo album. Not many people could say they saw these documents, but I did.

  3. First time am watching this documentary. It's the best first-class information about the 2nd world war. We have always made to believe the credit to defeat Hitler and Germany was Britain led by Winston Churchill. Seeing this true actual documentary makes me know Soviet Union under Starlin did more in 2nd world war to save the world and lost thousands or millions. Am a Kenyan and my father fought for the British during the war and Kenya being a British colony, history of the war was told to us and written in historical books and lessons by the British. It's very clear what we were taught is one sided. We're all students in life. It's a lesson and historical in Kenya 🇰🇪 because Kenyans who fought for the British during this war came back home and fought against the British colonial racialist rule in the famous Mau Mau war ending with Self rule and independence. Mau Mau war lasted from 1952 to 1960.

  4. Oh gee, imagine that. The soviet version of the event makes them look like some sort of heroes. When the soviets entered Berlin, they made Hitler look like Mother Theresa for god's sake. The ignorance in these comments is astounding.

  5. This is the best documentary I've ever seen on the Eastern Front. No nonsense narrative and amazing archival footage. What a story. We are free today because of these millions of Russians who gave their lives in impossible situations. Never forget.

  6. The main force in the British and American attack on Germany in World War II was Britain. The Soviet Union on the Eastern Front was the main offensive side. When will the United States know the fact that it has not even occupied the Berlin Congress? Germany was defeated by the Soviet Union.

  7. 1:27:00 That would make over 140,000 cubic feet of ash. Where is it?
EDIT: It takes a cord of wood to burn a body. That is 128 cubic feet of wood per body. Total? 25,600,000 cubic feet of wood… that's around 3,000,000 cubic feet of ash on top of the 140,000 cubic feet. To visualize this much ash, think of around 75,000 king sized beds. No, not burned beds. Think of 75,000 brand new king sized beds. I reiterate, where is it?
